    Greg O’Neill // Director

    Greg commenced at Aurora Projects in 2001, and has been involved in all aspects of Aurora’s services including project direction and planning, service planning, project definition, project management, business case preparation and client advisory services. He has been involved with a wide range of projects throughout New South Wales, Queensland, ACT, Western Australia and New Zealand.

    Greg has a detailed knowledge of the management of health service planning and of the resulting asset delivery process, from the initial project inception through planning, approvals and construction to the final commissioning and operation of a facility.

    Greg’s skills are based on a broad and practical knowledge of the issues involved with the planning and delivery of property assets. He brings a positive attitude to the management and resolution of the complexities inherent in the delivery of new property assets within the health sector. He also has the ability and experience to identify and resolve important project issues and to manage their resolution in close liaison with client and consultant groups.

    Malcolm Naylor // Director

    Malcolm has extensive experience in the direct management of all development activities across a wide range of property asset classes comprising transport infrastructure commercial office, retail, residential and specialist education and research based projects. Over the past five years Malcolm has been directly responsible for, and led, major development proposals for several significant development projects in Sydney and Brisbane.

    Malcolm spent 12 years with a major Sydney based property services and development group prior to joining Aurora Projects in early 2009. During this time, Malcolm was responsible for the day to day management of numerous development projects, and has demonstrated his ability to effectively liaise with, manage and lead multiple stakeholders and complex projects.

    Malcolm has experience across all aspects of development management including project feasibility and financing structures, sustainable design, planning approvals, construction and project management as well as marketing and sales strategies.

    Malcolm’s role at Aurora involves leadership of Aurora’s Project Director / Project Management assignments and to contribute to the development of project delivery/governance strategies as well as risk management of projects on behalf of our Clients. Most recently, Malcolm has led Aurora’s Project Director consultancy for the completion of a major private teaching hospital developed on campus for Macquarie University as well as several major hospital projects for NSW Health Infrastructure. Malcolm is responsible for Aurora’s Brisbane office and Queensland activities.

    Jo Thorley // Director

    Jo’s dual professional qualifications in both Nursing and Architecture provide her with a unique ability to liaise and communicate with the large team of people involved in the planning of hospital projects. It also provides her with the ability to direct the planning, design and construction process decisions with service delivery and operational management requirements.

    Prior to joining Richard Glenn & Associates in 1993, on the Prince of Wales Campus Redevelopment, Sydney, Jo held various nursing positions at hospitals in Queensland and Victoria. Over the years since 1993 Jo has undertaken specialist consultancy on a broad range of health care projects in both public and private sectors in many Australian states and Overseas.

    Much of Jo’s experience has been gained on tertiary/quaternary hospital projects involving the delivery of project direction services on the Royal North Shore Hospital and Community Health Services Redevelopment, Royal Prince Alfred and Concord Repatriation General Hospitals.

    She has a detailed understanding of health service requirements and is able to translate service needs into facility plans and documentation establishing the consequent asset requirements.  In addition to her project direction experience of major public and private sector hospital developments, Jo is also experienced with the development of project feasibility and design briefs and management of private sector contracting for the provision of both hospital facilities and services. She has been an independent reviewer and has participated as a Gateway reviewer for NSW Treasury.

    Philip Clark AM is a member of the J P Morgan Advisory Council.
    He was Managing Partner and CEO of Minter Ellison and worked with that firm
    from 1995 until June 2005.

    Prior to joining Minter Ellison, Phil was Director and Head of Corporate with ABN
    Amro Australia and prior to that he was Managing Partner of Mallesons Stephen
    Jaques for 16 years.
